Senior Manager, Broadcast and Media Production

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Broadcast and Media Production to lead the next phase of World Aquatics’ broadcast transformation. This pivotal role combines strategic vision, creative leadership and hands-on broadcast expertise to ensure world-class coverage of all World Aquatics events.

The role comes at a time of transformation for World Aquatics’ broadcast methodology. Historically, Host Broadcast (HB) operations were outsourced to local organising committees. Initially, this role will lead oversight and liaison with HBs and local organising committees to ensure alignment with World Aquatics’ broadcast guidelines and global consistency. Over time, the position will review and potentially implement an internal HB production and output capability.

The successful candidate will also oversee TV graphics development, streaming methodology, and cross-functional integration with Digital, Events, and Brand teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Live & Non-Live Broadcast: Lead the development, delivery, and quality
assurance of all broadcast content across linear TV and digital platforms,
including OTT.

• Editorial & Creative Direction: Set editorial and creative strategy for all
Host Broadcasts, providing input on content, talent, commentary, and
visual storytelling.

• Host Broadcaster Oversight: Manage and oversee live HB partner output,
ensuring consistent production standards and alignment with World
Aquatics’ objectives.

• Technical / Engineering: Ensure seamless technical implementation (e.g.
circuitry, power, signal transmission and delivery of the related HB
products in liaison with the different organizing committees. OC etc.

• TV Graphics Oversight: Lead the creative and technical delivery of all onair
graphics packages, ensuring integration with World Aquatics’ brand and
broadcast standards.

• Streaming & Digital Production: Define methodology for event streaming
output, including commentary setup, technical benchmarks, and
production consistency, while coordinating with Digital teams on execution.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead the broadcast working group,
liaising with Digital, Brand, Events, and technical teams to integrate content
streams and drive product evolution.

• Broadcast Innovation: Commission and oversee innovative projects,
working with broadcasters, vendors, and technology partners to enhance
production quality.

• Budget & Resource Management: Lead all live and non-live TV budgets,
ensuring efficient allocation and high-quality delivery.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with World Aquatics’ sports
managers, partner brands, and broadcasters to oversee all aspects of
content, cameras, graphics, and talent.

• Global Alignment: Ensure all event productions, graphics, and streaming
outputs meet global standards and reflect World Aquatics’ brand and
editorial vision.

Profile required

Experience & Skills:

• 15+ years of experience in outside broadcast and sports production, ideally
across multiple international markets.

• Proven experience in managing major international broadcast operations.

• Extensive knowledge of broadcast graphics systems and live/streaming
production workflows.

• Strategic, hands-on leadership with experience managing cross-functional
teams and complex projects.

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including
coordination with external vendors and partner broadcasters.

• Experience managing budgets and delivering high-quality production under
tight timelines.


• Complete business fluency in English (both written and oral). Other
language skills a bonus.

• Willingness to travel for global events.

Start Date: Q1 2026
Location: Budapest
