UNIVITY is looking for a System Engineering & Project Management intern or apprentice to join the team in our Toulouse office.
As System Engineering & Project Management intern / apprentice, you will develop and maintain key information systems essential to the planning, definition and delivery of our demonstration mission. It is an excellent opportunity for a curious student to gain an end-to-end view of how a space system is architected and developed.
Your key responsibilities and tasks:
- Manage the requirement management tool for the demonstration system. Work closely with the engineering leads to:
o Ensure that the latest requirements for our system and sub-systems are implemented in JIRA,
o Ensure the dependencies between requirements across all levels of the system hierarchy are correctly attributed,
o Ensure that each requirement is associated with a verification or validation activity
- Maintain an up-to-date project schedule for the demonstration programme
o Exchange with project managers, supply chain managers and technical leads to ensure that the latest milestone and equipment delivery dates are consolidated.
o Identify schedule risks for the integration, assembly and test phase.
o Provide extracts and presentations of the project schedule for internal and external communication purposes.
- Develop and maintain the document management system, ensuring that the correct baselined information is always available to internal and external stakeholders.
o Own the documentation referencing process
o Regularly interface with technical leads to ensure the correctness of the project documents in the system.
o Propose and implement improvements to the tools and processes used.
Profile required
Skills and experience
- Final year Master’s student in Aerospace Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline.
- Good written and oral communication skills in French and English.
- Experience with MS project or and equivalent schedule tool
- Experience with JIRA or similar
- Experience with MS access or similar
- Experience with MS office suite
- High levels of curiosity, rigor, and attention to detail.
- A team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
