Job description
At UNIVITY we believe that everyone on Earth should have access to internet connectivity and we are on a mission to empower telecom operators to deliver high-performance, affordable, sustainable internet from space to their clients where terrestrial networks are not available.
We successfully launched our first mission in 2025. We are now on our way for our next major milestone: an in-orbit demonstration in 2027, where two complete satellites will be deployed to further validate the system end-to-end. The following step will be to deploy our full constellation of disruptive satellites, enabling telecom operators to provide seamless connectivity worldwide.
Our project is rapidly ramping up, and we are looking to expand our team with passionate individuals who share our vision.
UNIVITY was created in 2022 and has offices in Toulouse and Paris. We offer exceptional learning and career development opportunities, as well as competitive salaries and benefits.
UNIVITY is looking for a RF EGSE Engineer – Telecommunications Satellite System to join the team in Toulouse office and reports to the Payload Manager.
As a RF EGSE Engineer for telecommunication satellite system, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and operation of RF test benches, from component level up to full satellite level. The role sits at the interface between RF design, satellite integration, environmental testing, and system validation.
Your key responsibilities and tasks:
• RF EGSE Design and Development
o Define the architecture of RF test EGSE (RF, IF, baseband, synchronization, rack)
o Select and integrate test equipment: spectrum / signal analyzers, RF signal generators, vector network analyzers (VNA), SDR platforms, attenuators, couplers, RF switches
o Design and validate measurement chains (calibration, losses, dynamic range)
o Support the certification of the EGSE
• Test Automation and Data Processing
o Develop test and automation scripts using: Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, C/C++
o Automate: test sequences, measurement acquisition, test report generation
o Analyze test data and produce formal test reports
• Satellite RF Testing and Validation
o Prepare and conduct satellite RF testing
o Measure and analyze: output power, EIRP, G/T, noise figure, C/N₀, Eb/N₀, spectrum characteristics, ACLR, EVM, synchronization and frequency stability, troubleshooting
• Integration and support
