Tremau

T&S Product Manager, Product Builder

Job description

*THE ROLE*

We are looking for a Product Manager who is a product builder: a generalist who stays close to customers, is comfortable with modern AI tools, can sketch a design and build a quick prototype, and spends most of the time turning unclear problems into clear specifications that ship.

*HOW WE WORK: TWO HATS*

Every PM at Tremau wears two hats. The PM hat leads and is the bigger part of the role. The customer success hat is smaller but never zero. Owning your customers is part of the job, not an extra, and staying close to your accounts is how you learn enough to build the right product.

- Product management (primary).Discovery, specs (PRDs), prioritization, and shipping for your area.
- Customer success and support (secondary, always on). You own a dedicated Slack channel and weekly meetings for your Enterprise accounts, handle their issues fully, and turn recurring problems into roadmap.

You also contribute to product marketing (positioning, launch material, demos).

* WHAT YOU'LL DO*

- Own features from discovery to launch, then keep improving them.
- Write clear specs and prototype alongside them. A spec (PRD) is mostly the instructions for a prototype, so write the spec that aligns engineering, design, and sales, and build a simple version (Claude or Figma Make) at the same time.
- Run discovery with little guidance: talk to customers, identify the pain, and scope the smallest useful piece.
- Own the customer relationship for your accounts. Notice churn and growth signals early.

Profile required

*THE PROFILE WE'RE HIRING*

A "product builder" generalist:

- Specs and prototypes (your core). Most of your time goes into writing: clear problem framing, specs, and user stories. You treat writing a spec and building a prototype as the same work, build a simple version to test the idea, and know when to stop and hand it to engineering.
- Customer and commercial skills.Genuinely social and clear in communication. Comfortable owning a customer Slack channel, running weekly syncs, and representing Tremau.
- Interest in tech. You do not need to write production code, but you should be curious and comfortable talking about APIs, LLMs, token management, context engineering, prompting, QA and evaluation.
- B2B SaaS experience. You have worked in B2B SaaS, or you understand it well. Direct Enterprise experience is a strong plus, not a requirement.
- Ambition to scale. You want the reality of a startup that is preparing to scale, and you see Trust & Safety as a mission worth the effort.
- Design basics (bonus). You understand how Figma works, even if you are not an expert, and you can use Figma Make or Claude Design to show your intent. This helps, but it matters less than specs and prototypes.

*✅ THIS IS FOR YOU IF...*

- You like owning a problem end to end and deciding what ships, with little supervision.
- You are comfortable with ambiguity and fast change, and you make progress without a fixed process.
- You learn new tools quickly and like getting hands-on to try them.
- You give and ask for direct, honest feedback, and you work in the open.
- The Trust & Safety mission matters to you, and you want to help a startup reach its next stage.

*🚫 THIS IS NOT FOR YOU IF...*

- You prefer clear direction and a stable scope over owning open-ended problems.
- You want a large, highly structured company with fixed process and little uncertainty.
- You would rather specialize in one lane and go deep than work broadly.
- You prefer to delegate execution rather than build alongside the team.
- You would rather stay behind the roadmap and hand customer contact to someone else.

*NICE-TO-HAVES*

- Experience in Trust & Safety, content or account moderation, risk, or compliance is a strong plus. It's not mandatory, but T&S is a niche industry, so candidates with this background are especially welcome.
- Hands-on experience shipping features built on LLMs or ML classifiers, including prompting, evaluation, version management, and the trade-offs between quality, speed, and cost.
- Product marketing experience in B2B SaaS.

*WHY TREMAU?*

- Ownership and impact. A wide scope and real impact, with no layers of bureaucracy and direct contact with leadership.
- Product-driven culture. Product has a seat at the table, and your work helps make the internet safer.
- An international team. More than 21 nationalities. The product team is French, Italian, and Spanish.
- English is the working language. French is welcome.
- Remote-first. Tremau is a remote-first company, so work from wherever you do your best work. Being based in Paris is a bonus, not a requirement, if we find the right person elsewhere, that's a yes. You're always welcome at our office at Station F, one of the largest startup incubators in Europe.
- A flexible schedule. We trust you to manage your time. A medical appointment in the middle of the day, or picking up your children a bit earlier, is fine. What matters is that the work gets done, not the number of hours spent in the office.
- Time off and health. 25 days of paid holiday per year and health insurance.

A strong mission needs strong values, and these guide how we work:

- Mission driven. Build a digital world that is safe and beneficial for all.
- Strong governance. Transparent and ethical practices for responsible, sustainable growth.
- Client centric. Protecting our shared digital future means creating real value for our clients.
- Optimism and care. We support the mission because we genuinely care.
