Job description
As Captain, you are the leader on board and responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the vessel. You combine strong nautical expertise with a hands-on mindset and a clear focus on safety, teamwork and operational excellence. You play a key role in guiding your crew and representing Plouvier in daily contact with clients and partners.
Profile required
QUALIFICATION(S)
· Valid Rhine patent (Zones 5 and/or 7 is a strong advantage)
· Radar patent
· VHF certificate
· ADN Basic certificate
EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE
· Proven experience as Captain on inland tanker vessels
· Strong knowledge of technical, nautical and legal requirements
· Strong knowledge of safety prevention measures
· Qualified knowledge of the hazardous properties and characteristics of dangerous substances
· Good knowledge of German
· Strong communication and leadership skill
